Leaping Forward

We approach the powerful transition between winter, the season of introspection and rest, symbolized by the cave bear, the mother’s wisdom to enter the void and patiently renew in deep silence, and the surging forth of spring, the time when we see the Mother as creative Shakti, the electric expression of life in motion.

This can be a time when our bodies, minds and spirits can use a tune up to align with and ride the new energy. It is a time to reflect on what is ready to let go and what is ready to come in. We can support this process through taking time to look/feel within in silence, to cleanse our diet of heavy, hard to digest foods and reinvigorate our digestive systems (New Earth Ayurveda), to journal and tap into creativity and commit to a program to energize our bodies (Lifestyle and Vedic Astrology Counseling) and seek assistance to realign our energy body through sound healing, Jin Shin Jyutsu, movement awareness (yoga, yoga therapy, ecstatic dance, Qi Gong) and more.

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the Earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is symbolic as well as actual beauty in the migration of birds, the ebb and flow of tides, the folded bud ready for spring. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after the night and spring after the winter.”
— Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
